    Thank you and God Bless
am not sure if flexride adjusts the height, the brochures only mention 3 style of chassis, sport, tour and normal. Obviously, stiff for sports, tour fo soft and smooth and normal as a compromise between the two

              Hi All,

Had my new Insignia (SRi Nav 1.6 (110PS) Turbo D ecoTEC) for two weeks now, and it is a really good car. The Heads Up Display is a really nice addition, and I find myself rarely looking at the dashboard now.

Mainly been doing 3 hour drives up and down the Motorway in it, and it is not to noisey on the inside. Even when accelerating from normal driving it seems quiet. Still getting used to the adaptive cruise control, its a lot better than normal cruise control, but sometimes it feels like the gap is just to big. The car had an estimated range of 850 miles when I filled it up the other day, so really pleased with that, was struggling to get 450 in my old car.

The Auto Parking is a really strange feeling (And one of the issues I have raised with the dealership is not being able to select which side to look for spaces, it defaults to the passenger side, and I cant find a way to make it select the drivers side.) It really goes to the limit when making the moves, and if you park next to a car that is not straight in the lines, you will not end up straight in the lines. Still, a fun thing to add that makes getting used to a bigger car a little easier.

I really like the colour, Dark Moon Blue, looks black from a distance, blue as you get closer, and if the sun hits it right the sparkle effect the paint has.

The only other issue I currently have with it, is that Apple Car Play does not work, and again the dealership has raised this as an issue so I will have to wait and see what happens. When I plug my phone in it works for the first 60 seconds, and then it disconnects. Hopefully nothing a software update wont fix in the near future. Hopefully it will also support making use of the digital dash, and HUD as well in the future. The Built in Sat Nav displays directions in the HUD, and I am not sure CarPlay will do that yet.

Overall, I am really pleased with the purchase, and look forward to spotting a few more when driving around.

Does anyone know why the Panoramic Camera is not an option on the Vauxhall Insignia, but is on the Opel Insignia?

                Very nice!

That isn't good about the apple play. Is that across the range or just you car having the issue? I hope android auto works ok. Is it affecting you phone connecting and making calls?

So the same phone worked fine in my old Astra K and my wife's Mokka X, so I think its just an issue with this car. Bluetooth works fine, so can still receive and make calls using the built in system so it is not the end of the world. I am used to using Car Play for making calls and responding to texts while driving. It might sound silly, but I tend to listen to audio books while driving, and Car Play will pause to audio for Sat Nav instructions, where the built in system just plays them up top of each other, so that is what I miss the most.

If I hear anything back from the dealership, I will post here.

Going from a 1.4i (100PS) Astra, it has more acceleration than I am used to. I imagine if your used to driving a bigger car, with a bigger engine, it would feel a step backwards but I still find it quite forceful when I put my foot down.

I guess the same argument can be made for the boot size which is smaller than the old Insignia. To me, it still feels like a big increase in size compared to my previous car.

Thanks! I have an android phone and an SRi Nav on the way same as yours but the 1.5 (165) Turbo petrol. I hope it isn't gonna have issues straight away with the Android auto. Intellilink issues plagued the facelift when it was released back end of 2013.

I know what you mean about the boot, I changed from an Astra J to my current Insignia and when I saw the boot I thought I could park the Astra in it!

                        by the way.

Saw my first insignia B on the road this weekend en-route to London - Looked like a very dark blue VXLine, and have to say, looked mint! NEEDS the 20"s though, which this one had.

I can press the button once, and it detects parallel park. If I press it again, it turns it off. Holding the button down, does the reverse park. Can't see anything in the owner manual to help either, as it only refers to the mid level dash. It is booked in to the dealership tomorrow to get it hooked up to the diagnostic machine, not sure if they are fixing the Apple Car Play/Auto Park issues, or just trying to capture more data about what is happening, but I will post an update if they fix it.

Update:They hooked it up to the diagnostic machine but no error codes were found, so passing that all back to Vauxhall to investigate the Apple Car Play issue further. With the Auto Parking, you just need to use the indicator to indicate right to get it to spot spaces on the drivers side. Tested it, and it worked.

I know I do a lot of Motorway driving, but I am really pleased with the mileage so far (Matching the 70MPG it states in the sales pitch), just filled up after getting back home, not the greatest photo.

I feel they have missed a trick with the Digital Displays, I know with the bigger engines, you have a few extra options you can pick, but with mine I am stuck with the default and it does feel a little silly displaying engine temp twice. The other thing that annoys me is that scale is off, so take the volts display for example, bottom value is 9, middle is 14 and top 19, and their is 9 marks, which means that each mark goes 9, 10.25, 11.5, 12.75, 14. Off the top of my head, additional ones they could add as options to pick from could include Internal/External Temperature, Distance to Car in Front, average speed, tyre pressure, distance to next sat nav turn/destination, oil level. That being said, I very rarely look at the dashboard when I am driving now, so its not the end of the world and I am still enjoying driving the car.
