Hi, first just want to say I have been lurking for almost a year on here but have just re-registered as couldn't post anything due to my I.T stupidity!
I've had a knocking noise from the front left for a while so have had the wishbone replaced but it's still there. Two places have said they cannot find anything wrong with the suspension but there is also another knock when I change gear which I believe is rom the same source. The most recent garage has said this may be caused by the engine or gearbox mounts being worn (car has done 92k miles) but seem to want to replace all of them in one go to cure the potential issue. Surely there must be a way to tell which mount it is before doing this? If so, are they quite easy to change? I did one on an old Ford Focus a few years ago which was straight forward but I'm no mechanic!
Any advice would be great, many thanks, Chris
