Last week, i purchased a 61 Plate 2.0 Ecoflex, and was aware that it had an issue with its parking sensors, and as agreed took it back today to have them sorted.
In the meantime, it became apparent that the stop/start was either not working, or not working at all, and pointed this out to the Salesman (not a Vauxhall dealer) who said he would get it looked at.
Car picked up, sensors sorted, however whilst sat in two hours of M6 related Gridlock it became apparent that the issue with the stop/start was still there ie off for two seconds, then back on again.
Long story short, a couple of calls to the dealer whilst in Traffic and he said he had taken advice and the stop/start issue is because Insignias have a common problem in so much that if the Aircon is on, the stop/start doesnt work. Lo and behold, this seems to be the case, as it works perfectly with Aircon off.
As it happens, i dont like using Aircon, as it gives me headaches, however i dont want the dealer pulling my pants down and spinning me a line.
Is this a plausible reason or not?
