It should be, but it's quoted 51mpg combined, which is somewhat disappointing but oh well!

No, I dont think they are. Build quality is pretty crap, I'm sure this will be addressed in time. I'm a fan, a big fan of Opel/Vauxhall for the last 20 years, but they're quite a bit behind the curve on the diesel engine front at the moment. I wont be buying one, as much as I would like to. The spec is great but I want BHP and NM from my diesel which the new Insignia doesn't offer at present. VW the best option. or a BMW. That hurts to say it.

Wow don't hold back eh buttons!

The build quality is something I already pointed out to be poor on my last one. I've been around my new one and they've gone a good way in addressing it. I've had mine a month now and it impresses me every time I drive it. I can't speak for the diesel engines but the 1.5 turbo petrol is pretty impressive imo.

Hello mate, not at all. With the optional extras it cost 31k. However, I got a few discounts, dealer was quite generous with the customer discount, other dealership discount and work discount. I'm getting it for 26k.

Yup, it's on PCP. In terms of monthly repayments I'm actually paying a little less, and it's only one extra year as my current siggy has 3 years left.

Suppose its frustration that a good car could have been better. No doubt its better than my current biturbo, but I think there's better out there in terms of the competition though you'll pay dearly to get the kit you'd get on the insignia. The 1.5 is getting plenty of good reviews. 20 or even 30 years ago Opel had the best petrol's about, the old 1,6's and 2.0's which were great, and were well known for them. Having a rant as I often do.
