Oh fab Marko how are you finding the 1.5 engine, was a bit worried going from a diesel to a small turbo petrol but with europes new war in diesel i thought petrol was a better choice

It's surprisingly powerful. I wouldn't have believed it in this size engine in such a big car. Though at over 27 stone lighter than the previous Insignia, it's got a lot less weight to lug around. It's so quiet too. Have you gone for the 165PS?

Yes the elite comes with the 165. It had that in the dealer car i drove but i only drove a short distance and there was a lot of traffic so didn't really get chance to really try out the engine, do remember it being quiet though which is nice as the old diesel wasn't

My usage is made up of short trips so after the first month I was averaging 31.5mpg but then I had a couple of weeks holiday and made a lot of trips to the seaside which saw my average go up to 35.5mpg. I've been back at work a week now so back on the short trips (current average 34.5mpg) but I'm pretty sure it would have risen more if I'd kept up the longer journeys.

Thanks mate, yes i do a fair amount on the motorway so have averaged 47.4 over the last 30,000 miles in the diesel so figered i'd get around 40 maybe 38 so your number seems fair for short trips 🙂
