  • Wheel nut size

Hi all. Does anyone know the size of the wheel nuts on the 2011vx line with 19" alloys. I believe they are 22mm but unsure. I want to order an extending wheel brace and socket.

Thanks. Now going to order wrench and socket. No tool kit in boot. Previous owner must have taken them out

You are right to use an "aftermarket" wheelbrace, the hinged jobby that Vauxhall issue is awkward, and in my opinion clumsy, so easy to let it swing into your paint! I use an extending one, but never extend it to tighten, it's so easy to overdo it.

I bought a socket like this:

The nylon sleeve helps prevent any damage to your wheels.

I'd advise a torque wrench for tightening wheel nuts as most tyre places and even dealers over tighten nuts to such an extent that you'd struggle to get them off without a impact driver. I always loosen and re tighten to correct torque (150NM) as soon as I get home.
