  • Battery Draining and NAV Problems

    Hi all!

Couple of days ago i've just bought an 09 insignia 1.6T SRI.
My problem is after i stop the car all the instrument back lights stays on and draining the battery.
The other problem is with the NAV 800. It cannot turn on. The disc reader try to spin, but no power at all, just black screen.
I think cause of the radio problem , there's no parking radar,no indicator sound as well!

    Thank you for any help!

    Hi

Could be a relay? The instrument back lights are supposed to stay on for a while even when you get out and lock the car but they should time out after 10 to 30 seconds tops.

Thank you for your reply marko!
No it stays on all night and the CD loading sound as well!
I checked the voltage reserve with a multimeter and stays 12.40V always.
I tried to take out some fuses but nothing helped.
Honestly i dont know what is the correct relay for these.
      Thank you

Have you disconnected the battery? Several people say that corrects glitches. I’ve not had to do that myself but others have, may check with then first though

you're not leaving your headlights on are you? Diificult to see from the pic but the control looks to be pointing to headlights/ sidelights. Try it on auto lights.

I took a screen shot and zoomed in. The lights are on auto so it rules that out. I'd say its a failing relay. Not a clue which one though. Shouldn't be to hard o hunt it down.

I always turn off after auto, but you can hear the cd loading sound is still on aswell!
I maybe sort it out with an expert with the navi.

i agree looks like a relay is sticking somewhere, maybe the one for the accessory power

Don't know if these will help but these are form a Haynes manual that covers 1.8 petrol and 2.0 turbi-diesel
upcoming mods: led lights (interior and license plate)- on their way, de-badge front grill, new rims, new audio unit, mud flaps
