  • Engine violently shakes on warm start

    Hi all,

My engine seems to violently shake on warm/hot starts. Perfectly fine when cold, oil and filter has been changed, new flywheel and clutch put in, had a machine confirm the battery/starter/alternator are fine, my last guess would be a engine mount somewhere? Don’t really want to play parts roulette but this problem has been going on for months now and was hoping someone could shed some more light on it.

    Cheers

Check glow plugs are ok. Air filter clean. Faulty boost control solenoid. Things you can check for free

These are things which will affect the car when hot?

I thought glow plugs would only affect it if engine was cold.
LED interior lights. Chrome mirror caps & door handle covers. LED reverse light bulbs. Pedal box. Atomic Alloys. Steel Structure spare wheel. Boot floor risers. Rear exit exhaust & rear valance. M Y ‘15’ front grille.

Unless your engine is hot glow plugs will still warm the cylinder. Its free to check so might as well rule it out

Something else hasn’t come to mind, when car is at its warmest, it’s ready about 92-93degrees, which does concern me a little bit, also I can’t remember the last time I’ve heard the engine fans come on, possibly the car is running too warm?
