    Ecoflex vs SRI

    Forum Key Rings
In my quest to find replacement shocks, would owners of an SRI and an ECOFlex be so kind and:

    Enter your VIN here:
    http://astra-3.pl/vin.php?lang=en

Do any or your results show - XJ6 - CHASSIS LOWERED MODIFIED

I spoke to VX dealer who says I have sports suspension.
I know the ECOFlex is lowered compared to standard, but does it use SRi springs and shocks?
The dealer didn't tell me which I had, just what replacements would cost!

The VIN lookup website doesn't show XJ6 - CHASSIS LOWERED MODIFIED for me, but VX emailed me the original factory build spec list and I get the XJ6 code from there.

I do show OGA - OPEL SPECIAL VEHICLE - RUESSEL on both lists, when I bought it the dealer told me it was a VX show model, and spec'd accordingly.

Confused as to which shocks to order............

I've got a Insignia Sport edition (kind if similar to an SRi), and the site shows I've got XJ2 = LOWERED SPORTS CHASSIS. I do have the flexride option, so that might be different as I understood that isn't standard on an SRi.

Tried ECP, it thinks I have standard chassis from my Reg number, special order vehicle has scuppered that.
I asked the dealer, they didn't have part numbers "it just says you need lowered sports chassis shocks, we have for 117 each, we can fit them for you...."
I'm sure the flexride system does have different shocks, I think the SRI does too, but I don't think EcoFlex does have standard, but are they SRi shocks?!?

I'll give VX customer care a call and update with what I find out.....

...... hey you know what, FOR LOWERED CHASSIS,POC XJ2/XJ3/XJ6 (EXCEPT FLEXRIDE), it's bloody in there, top shout that man.

It seems my XJ6 uses the same shocks as a Sport Edition, XJ2, as ERNST pointed out.
What's the betting XJ3 is SRi?

I wonder if all ECOFlex cars are on the same?

Then again in the UK maybe we all should be on : FOR BAD ROAD PACKAGE,POC XL4 (EXCEPT FLEXRIDE)

    https://vauxhall.7zap.com/en/car/

Just found this link too: it only shows the parts applicable to the car ID by VIN. Much better than ID by REG.
