    I wanted some fresh rubber to set the new rims off and a brand i'd heard of. I found a deal on some Maxxis Summer sport tyres from ATS in Ilkeston, £106 each fitted which looks pretty good compared to the over £200 each for pirellis or michelins

      Ar ok. I don't get new tires any more. I get mine part worn, on the 18s they were £40 balanced fitted each, so 20s i expect £50 each.

        hmmm tempting. might have a look just to get me going for this year. Are they name brand tyres?

                False economy IMO and a risk as you don't know the history of the tyre. Better buying brand new. These are a very good 20" tyre with B,B rating and 69db (better than the big brand names) working out at £73 each

                  I haven't had any issues no far been doing it for years and it would be like getting a used car with tires no different to that.
