The manual shows a "eco" button to switch off the auto stop/start system but i don't appear to have its just a blank, the car is 2015 Elite diesel auto I would have thought this age would have had it, can anyone confirm, or is it something that can be removed by dealer upon customer request?

Ha great thread with excellent comments and I hate to tell you but I've got one ha. An ECO button that is. Unfortunately it doesn't work as I like to play with new toys and my battery is currently on charge. Watch for latest news...

I've always found the stop start on my insignia abit of a game. Should I allow it to stop start. Will it turn the engine back in time for me to cross this junction.. etc ha. Will it let me down and just fail to restart the engine which it has done a few times..

Which then brings on the question. Does it actually save fuel on a mondern diesel?
