Hi everyone this is my first post. I know i shouldnt have but the car was shuddering and gears getting harder to get into over space of about 6 months. Last week the car drove 15 mins.i stopped and when returned to the car it wouldnt start. Its turns over but then dies. A light came on saying service esp with the Electronic stability Control (ESC) Faults (illuminates yellow). Towed to garage and spent £995 at mr clutch garage for new clutch and flywheel. Also had intercooler pipe changed as had a split in it. But when collecting they said was running fine for about an hour.when they turned off engine and tried to restart it wouldnt start like i mentioned above. He said once it cooled down after hour or so it started again but esc light contabtly on. He said he doesnt know what it could be so i have took to another garage who currently have it. Has anybody else had this issue as i dont want to be paying much more to get fixed. Is the esc light something to do with the car not starting when warm? Also when i drove it from mr clutch to second garage the esc light was on and although car ran smooth roughly 1 mile there didnt seem to be the same power in acceleration. Read online it could be crank angle sensor or some other sensor but surely somebody had this exact problem? If the esc light on does that also reduce power? please help. Any advice so i dont get the garage fitting all different sensors and parts and me having to pay if they havent sorted problem. Thanks and sorry for long message.

Don’t understand why you would replace the clutch to try and resolve the esc problem.
Or have I missed something in your post.
I believe that when the ESC lights up, it cuts power to the drive wheels and applies the brakes accordingly to help stop the wheels spinning.LED interior lights. Chrome mirror caps & door handle covers. LED reverse light bulbs. Pedal box. Atomic Alloys. Steel Structure spare wheel. Boot floor risers. Rear exit exhaust & rear valance. M Y ‘15’ front grille.

I would say the best thing to do would be to have the codes read to see what fault is thrown up, then go from there. The guessing game can be very expensive.LED interior lights. No wasnt the garage as day before i had the clutch booked in at garage it died n wouldnt start.
Anyway good news im back on the road! Running better than ever. It was the timing belt and another belt cant remember name but will update when i get home to look at receipt. Apparantly a tensioner belt i think snapped and caused debre behind belt cover which knocked timing off. New belt and starts perfect no issues at all no lights. 1500 down but working. I will upload what garage said they done to help anyone else with diesel not starting but cranking.
