im at my wits end with this, this has been happening for over a month, car drives great on the motorway round town drives fine, mpg is good, not hesitate in anyway while driving but in traffic or stopping at traffic lights every now and again it starts to miss like someone has pulled the plug lead off then it clears only lasts for a couple of seconds but im finding it annoying. has 2 diagnosis machine plugged in ... no faults not even historic ones, just had a terraclean thinking maybe that might help no change, regularly changed the oil and filter as well as just changed the fuel filter...please someone give me some advice on this

    Hi Peter,

Could it be something like air con turning on and off? Have you changed your plugs? Though if it were a plug they usually throw up an error.

I had a company come out and do a carbon clean but even before that , the car has never smoked doesn't burn any oil , and its very responsive on the throttle drives really well on the motorway its literally sitting at traffic light weather its hot or cold ever now and then it will splutter like its about to stall, lasts about 2 seconds, starts up from cold quickly but splutters for the first 5-10 seconds

I think the best approche would be to connect an OBD reader and monitor some live data. You can monitor a lot of parameters, this might give some more information then just reading out fault codes. Could be for example fuel rail pressure is dropping a bit too far and recovering too slow. That would be visible using live data monitoring.
