    Morning All

Ive done some searches and cannot find any posts relating to my question.

I have a Elite Insignia 2015 and need to get a towbar fitted, can anyone give me some advise if the rear parking sensors will constantly go off with the towbar fitted when reversing?

    Thanks

    Neil

    Hi Mate,

When I had my Insignia I didnt have parking sensors but I had a detachable towbar.

Have a look down that route? Cleaner on the car too with no towbar showing whilst you are not using it

It also disables the guidance lines on screen from reverse cam

Thats a point! Make sure that who ever fits it uses a dedicated Electric Kit for the car and not a bypass relay!

I guess that if you put it in reverse it will make a noise but the tow ball would be too close to set it off normally ??

Thanks all for the feedback, Its for towing the Dart, but will only be a few times a year. Im looking at around £300 for a standard one and £450 for a detachable one.

That's my fear, being the towbar setting of the parking sensors all the time in reverse.

Ive got the standard sensors, so wonder if it will?

If you use the dedicated electric kit then they should go off as mentioned above?

I only paid around £185 I think for a detachable one then fitted it my self. So easy to do!! The only thing i had done was the electrics which cost me £50

I have fitted aftermarket sensors to my Pathfinder and it has a fixed towbar and this does not effect the sensors
