  • OBD fault code help parking assist service !

So I have bought an android wireless obd reader and it works brilliant.

Now my car has the 'Parking Assist Fault'

However i have plugged the reader in and it is not bringing up any codes at all.

I was expecting it to bring up the sensor faults...but zero...

My car is a 2013 1.4 turbo elite siggy.

I have read other posts where they state fault codes were spat out. I cant remember if these were insignias but deffo vauxhalls and other siblings such as chevvy captivas (same as antara)

Has anybody else got info re there experience of this fault or what software they used to diagnose.

    Ta muchas 😀

Your OBD reader is not compatible with the Vauxhall system for reading fault codes. If you do manage to read any codes they will be generic and not specific. To read the codes you will need something that is compatible with the system e.g. OPCOM

      Ahh bum. Massive bum !.

It shows everything else such as temps speeds etc.

I guess it isnt fully compatible.

What is the best to buy ?

If you PM koicarpkeeper on the Vauxhall Owners forum he will provide details on your options

          ELM327 Bluetooth reader

I got one of these a few years ago to use on my 04 Vectra. It also works on my 09 Insignia, I'm using the paid-for version of Torque.

From memory it only cost around £8.

Yes the basic obd elm327 or whatever do read many functions but seemingly not functions such as parking sensors etc
