  • Replace Rear OS Quarter Window

    Hi,

I have had a search through the forum but have been unable to find any mention of replacing the rear quarter window on am Insignia.

I left keys in the ignition and dog in the car briefly today and dog must have jumped on dash, locked the car and i had to smash the rear quarter window to gain access.

I thought there may have been some working instruction or youtube videos out there on how to replace the window but im struggling to find anything.

I assume door trim is removed and replacement window then installed? Is it a straight forward process to remove and replace?

Ive found a Vauxhall Workshop Manual for same task on a Astra, would it be similar process given its the same manufacturer?

Any advise or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Doug

    Replace Rear OS Quarter Window

I’ve just changed a rear door as it was cheaper to get another door than get the scrape and dent sorted out. It looks like it’s a single bolt, but I assume that by pulling the divider part down then the quarter light window will come out sideways. Hopefully that makes sense.
Which window did you break anyway as I now have a spare n/s one
