Snow foam

Could be a double stupid question but never actually used it before 😄 I know you can use the prokleen snowfoam lance with a karcher pressure washer but does the pressure washer still need to be connected to a water supply
Just thought if more water is coming through will that not dilute the snowfoam solution even more
No idea as I say never used it but do know shouldn’t run a washer with no water
Anyone also any company moments on snowfoam is it any good and do you use it as a pre wash
