  • Alloy Wheel Change advice needed...

    So,
i'm finally getting around to changing the alloys on my 11plate SRi,

the car is currently sitting on standard 17 inch SRi wheels and i've found a couple that i like..
    so... what's your thoughts..?

      Bottom pic for me also.
Or even better would be a set of VX LINE 19” wheels.

                quick question again,
what will be the difference to my speedo with 18' on ?

is there really that much difference between the standard 17's and the 18's ?

i'm sure i once read that with 18's your speedo will say 30mph, and you'll actually be travelling at around 27/28 mph... is this correct ?

I 'm sure the tyre profile size corrects it.

I had the bottom wheels on mine when I brought the car. I didn't like them at all. Why don't you get the popular 18" Sri Chris.

The change won't affect the Speedo at all unless you changing to a different tyre size that's not manufacturer specified.

All the 'standard (twin spoke) 'fives' i looked at needed some serious refurbishing.. so i finally ended up getting the wheels in the top picture, (twin spoke) seven's, powder coated in gloss black,

the bottom ones i looked at were going for £400 as well as some needing new tyres...(the pic was a 'stock' image i found online), so that would have thrown an extra £300 plus into the mix, and seeing as the wife has offered to buy them for my birthday ..(early pressie), i wasn't going to 'take the piss' and give her a large cost to lay out, besides ... seeing that the set I've picked up for £200 means there's a bit left over for extra pressies...... winner winner chicken dinner..

They're gonna look good in black. That colour will make a huge difference. When we gonna get to see them on?
