    Anyone used a clay cloth or mit are they any good show do they compare to a clay bar
    Is the process the same as using a bar

    G3 Mit from Halfords are good,but haven't actually used a clay bar myself

      I used the G3 mit on mine when I first got the Elite, the paint was in a sorry state,did prep the paint good,ready for polish etc.
      Insignia Elite 16T,Royal Blue non Nav. + added,

        Quicker, cover more area, and small areas easier....so i have been told.

          +1 for the G3 mitt
          it great and very easy to use, wash the car and rinse, make up some soapy water, use the cloth side to wet the paint and rub with the clay side until you no longer hear a scratching sound

          the clay mitts are softer and kinder to the paint work but may not remove stubborn bits
          for that you will need a more aggressive clar bar which most likely will need machine polishing afterwards

          clay mitts can also be reused a a fair few times
