    Any tips?

Read so much about how soft the paint on the black Insignias are, slightly scared now to attempt minor paint correction myself.

    Light swirl marks to most of the panels, was going down this route;
    1. Light rinse with water.
    2. Two bucket wash with mitt, one panel at a time.
    3. Dry using microfibre towel.
    4. Fine clay bar with lubrication.
    5. Two bucket wash with mitt, one panel at a time.
    6. Dry using microfibre towel.
    7. Polish using a light to medium cut.
    8. Pre-wax cleanser.
    9. Gloss wax.
    10. Sealant.

Scared about claying, read can actually make it worse.
Do i need to add de-iron and de-tar before the clay?
If the swirls didn't wind me up so much id run for the Turtle Wax Colour Magic

Really worried about making it worse after reading stuff, any advice

Will all be done by hand, do have a Ryobi cordless buffer for wax.

I personally would skip step 3.

I’ve never encountered a problem using clay in the last 6 years of use, I do however ensure I use plenty of lube.

    My steps

    Rinse
    Snow foam
Wash - 2 buckets lambs wool mitt
    Rinse
Clay with claymatt and plenty lube
    Rinse
    Wash again
    Dry
    SRP
    Wash & dry
    Wash with autoglym HDWax
