Must admit the night mode looks very smart...for me the brightish blue of the current one doesnt really help a lot at night!



Some nice easy step by step instructions would be very handy!

i'm struggling to find a programme to open the uli file and see the images and then convert my jpegs. has anyone done this yet ?

Just had a go at this on the CD500 set up in my 2010 Elite and it seems to have worked fine. Used the "Apofigey 2" theme, burnt the dnl folder to a CD at 8x speed then popped it in the system. It gets picked up automatically and you are asked to do a couple of things then it starts erasing and copying. Seems to stay on a percentage done for a while then skip a couple but gets there in the end. Looks like you can do it with ignition off or ignition on but however you start thats how you have to leave it. I started up, set it going then drove back to work and sat in the car park with the engine running for a few mins whilst it finished.



Also seems the maps i installed onto the memory from the update disk doing the rounds on here a while back have stayed on as well. Only thing i appear to have lost on a quick inspection is the stored radio presets. Downloaded 4 different themes so will probably burn them all to disk and leave in the car...then if i fancy a change i can just run the process again.

After a day with the Apofigey 2 theme i really like the night option but the day one i'm struggling with. I've got the Carbon option burnt to a CD to try at some point but for the time being i've set the system to always use the Night option.

I also have the Apofigey v2 theme (burnt at 48x and works fine!), but don't like the day mode. Might swap to the Engine1992 theme tonight! That looks to be good as it's readable in day mode and still has the red for night (to match the dash).



The other thing that bugs me about the Apofigey v2 theme is the "Fav 1/6" in the right corner - completely pointless as it does nothing! I thought it might change when you changed the radio station/favourites page etc, but no!

I was going to try the Engine1992 theme but i was down to my last blank CD and it wouldnt write to it for some reason so need to get some more!

are we any closer to being able to upload your own images into the boot logo file ??
