Humming noise from rear while on tick over

    Humming noise from rear while on tick over

    When car is on tick over there is a loud humming noise from rear of the car, sounds electrical. I thought maybe the fuel pump?

    Have got a video with it on if needed. Just sounded a little loud, but first time I have noticed it.

    does it do it with just ignition on for couple seconds?

      Not noticed to be honest. Do hear a hum sometimes, but thought that was electronic hand brake. I will check tomorrow.

        Yes mine electric hand brake is heard coming on but I don't always use it.

          Check behind the boot trim.

          You might have an apiary fitted.

          Think these we're an optional extra from vx....
          But yours being an elite, it could be fitted as standard.
