    Savnav 900 traffic warning

    Hi all...

    Had a wired one yesterday (good wired)
    Whilst driving home on the A38 I had a warning through the intellilink system stating that there was a traffic build up ! There was, all lanes stopped. On the display map the road was red.

    First time I've had this since owning the car (2 month owned). It's a 15 plate Sri vx line Sport tourer navi900 (R3) no Android auto.

    Reason I'm here is how did it know ? My phone was connected via BT but it only uses phone & voice capacity or app voice alerts IE Google maps.


    So how ?

    It does have a traffic alert system just it's not that up-to-date. It will take a while before it starts alerting.

        Just having a look through the Navy settings, one is TMS Station. Is that the external alert notification ?

          Yeah if you've got traffic alerts turned on it alerts you if you're traveling in the direction of the issue even if you haven't quite got onto that road yet. I've found it to be pretty quick alerting.
