  • Hello Everyone, It’s Pick Up Day!

    Morning Everyone,

My names Matt and i’m from the West Midlands. I’ve been looking into buying an Insignia’s now for quite a while as my 320D is slowly falling apart, finally found a decent little find at a Vauxhall who gave me a good part ex for mine to my suprise!

Model; 2.0 CDTI - 140 - SRI VX-Line Nav EcoFlex - Red, Atomic Wheels, Heated Leather Seats, 42k Mileage, 64 Plate, 1 Owner and Full Vauxhall Service History.

I can’t wait to start the small suttle mod’s to her, she will be a beaut

I was wondering if there were any issues I should keep an eye out for or anything that is a common issue on my particular model? I’ve seen the oil filter issue and was unsure if it affects my particular engine/oil pump or is it all CDTI?

I’m off to pick her up this afternoon so I will post some photos of her.

    Cheers.

    Welcome and lucky you.

The oil pick up problem appears to only effect the pre face models which was early 2013 and back so you should be ok on that.

Unfortunately for me I have the pre face as well so unsure what common faults you get on facelift but someone will be along to advise you soon.

    What mods you got planned?

Make sure you post some pics up when you get a chance.

        Hi Matt,

Ooh red...I do like the red

Yeah you've got yourself a facelift there so they've ironed out a lot of the issues from the pre facelift. Though even in the pre they're pretty rare. The biggest problem on the early facelifts is the infotainment system could be a bit glitchy. The good thing is as annoying as it can be, the issues are never permanent and usually turning the car off and waiting a few minutes sorts it.

Only other problem i can think of is a clicking clutch pedal. Some have had to go in for a new pedal box but as far as I know it's more of an annoyance rather than anything that is going to fail. If yours isn't clicking, chances are it never will now.

                    I'm based in Wednesbury

                    Mods;
De-chrome Everything as i'm not a fan at all - spray it all high gloss black.
                    Twin Exhaust
Wrap Roof Section in gloss black vinyl
                    Paint Calipers Red
                    HID's
                    Private Plate
                    Wind Deflectors

and then probably need to investigate the forum a bit more to get a better understanding of things I can do!
