Wheel size and lowering

Hi Need some advice please guys. I have a Sri 2.0 turbo. I have standard 18s on at the moment. I am planning to lower her by 30mm.I am going to fit 20in alloys what size width and offset can I get away with id like the wheels to be wider to be more or less flush with the body work.

hi mate, did you ever get anywhere with this as I'm doing the same on the sport tourer I've got 19s on at the moment but want 20s also what lowering kit did you go with?
