  • Hello, New Member from Cheshire

Hello all, just bought myself a 62 plate Insignia Elite Sports Tourer (Auto) CDTI 160. And what an awesome car it is too.

I have done a fair amount of lurking on here and googling but still have a couple of questions.

My previous car was a Vectra for which I had an OpCom (china clone). This tool is useless on the insigna as mine only goes upto 2010 and cant autodetect my ecm so i need something else. I have no issues with the car that need a scan tool but I do like to have one in my armoury for when It happens. So what is the tool to buy for this car, I need to be able to read and clear the codes and if not too expensive bi directional control. Module programming I have no need for.

Also, on my car the rear view mirror is auto dimming, the drivers mirror is heated and auto dimming but the passenger side is not heated and not auto dimming. Is this normal? I suspect its had a new mirror glass and just had the cheapest one available installed and not the one specced for the car.

    Thanks all

    Mark

            Welcome

Just FYI I got my OpCom upgrade (Same as you from the Vectra OPCOM to needing an Insignia OPCOM) from http://op-com.co.uk. Seem genuine as far as they go and fast delivery.

Detects all the modules in my car and clears the codes of insignia specific ones, especially for my 2015 Insignia .

Welcome Mooic. There is a sales section here if you want to sell your Op-Com, or anything else.
