Hi there!
I bought an 09 Insignia SRI 2.0 CDTI 160. It was a toss up between that a Saab 9-3 Aero and a Mondeo as for the last few years I'e been a Ford owner. I've also owned Saabs in the past.
This is the 1st modern Vauxhall I've owned, I have had a Cavalier and a Calibra 4x4 Turbo many years ago.
I'm really liking the Insignia the drive is nice and plush even though it runs on 18's but then I have come from a Fiesta.
It's fitted with a crap CD300 which will do I suppose but there's no bluetooth. I would have thought for a flagship model this would have been standard but never mind.
The car has done 78k and has FSH but not had the cambelt and waterpump change so that is to be done as a priority.
I'm weary of the clutch/dmf's on these Insignia's although the clutch seems ok nice low biting point and absolutely no slip (I live in Wales so going up hills is a daily thing) but this is another thing I'm going to replace as a precautionary measure but this will come in the next few months. Was looking at the Sachs or LUK kits - anyone know which is better? Which brand is fitted in the factory, I take it they fit an inferior cheap production GM kit?
Anyway I look forward to lurking and offering my input on the forum
