  • Tyre - ok or replace

Nicked a broken curb in town, just unlucky. New tyres only have them 2 months.

Be old or should I replace.

    They are expensive!

Normal rule is if you can see the cord through it then replace it

Personally I'd replace but that's because it would live in my mind until I knew it was sorted. I wouldn't risk it because I have do idea what stresses a tyre goes through on motorways etc...

Looks superficial to me. Personally I would use the tyre. As said there are steel cords behind that cut.

as it can be hard to tell on a picture, take it to a couple of trye places for an opinion.

Thats what I did, and was told it was fine

Take it to a tyre shop and ask just for peace of mind if nothing else.

I had exactly the same on my red, the vauxhall dealer said it was only a tyre protection trim and glued it back on. I wasn't sure about this so took it to two different test centres and they confirmed only protection purposes in case you clip a pavement etc.. Hope that helps

That part of the side wall is the "rim protector" (think it needs a new name) and is extra thick for this purpose. glue it down and you will be fine!
