Reverse light on in neutral

When I unlock my car and the lights come on, the reverse light is lit - turns off when the engine is on though. Any ideas?! I’ve changed the bulb to no avail

Quite normal my Astra and the Mrs Meriva did that just a vauxhall thing i think although my siggy and her mokka don't.

These are your 'see me home' lights. They come on so you can see where you are going in the dark, then go off after a while, or when the engine is started.
