Strange things modern cars, we had merc slk folding roof stopped working at same time as ABS light came on, only way to operate roof was to switch off engine, start engine, fold roof BEFORE moving, fitted new abs sensor to rear wheel and roof worked fine again.

Mad one , well I started the car yesterday after work and no light on, and again this morning no light on, strange, wonder if it will be an intermittent thing or maybe it was frozen over

Do a couple of turns right and left on full turns; if the error comes back your abs sensor’s are on the way out. Could just be one but for sake of £20 each better to just change them both

Just an update on this, the light had been off for a few days but returned yesterday so I went for a diagnostic , the machine said it was near side front speed sensor causing erratic signal , the garage said even though it says that it might not be

Is the abs sensor the same as the speed sensor then or 2 different sensors ?
