OK well I bought my car with 85k on the clock and have done 314 miles in that time my oil life has dropped 3 % and I don't drive hard or abuse it, but 3% on my milage seems quiet high, obviously I don't know what the last owners did or how long it was standing, im going to book a service ice at 0% anyway, but is it usual for it to use that high a percent over such a short milage ?

Yeah it's normal. I do quite low mileage but even mine counts down at around the same rate as those who do double my mileage. I don't think it only counts down usage. As above, my car had a service and was then stopped for 6 months. When I started using it again it had dropped to 30%. It seems to be a combination of mileage, driving habits as well as time.Comment
