Thanks, is the Euro 6 a good thing?. Got the v5 doc number and came up as nothing for road tax 👍

Just means you have to buy adblue every 3-4k . Don't know about London, this city tax will hit everyone sooner or later.

I'm on my 3rd 10ltr bottle and only done 4000 in the year. Think it must have had software update. On slight different note its coming out garage tomorrow hopefully as its not turned a wheel in 5 weeks.

Mine had update week I bought it. Done 6k since August 18, still got about half a litre left from first 10 litre bottle.

But again I think automatics are different, driving styles play a huge part also. Think I read car holds 8 litres and average miles for that is 3-4k.

what i find is that as soon as it says add blue will run out in 1040 miles it takes 5 ltr before it over flows, It generally only gets used on A1 Friday night and A1 Sunday afternoon doing 50 mile trips.
any way back to original post yes i would recommend insignia and as i have mentioned before I ,m comparing against car twice the price (E class Merc)

I'm on my third Insignia diesel 2.0 auto and only do about 8k/year. All have been regularly serviced and the only thing needing replacement, apart from service consumables, was a glow plug, when the car was 4 years old. Running costs have been as good as any comparable car I've ever had, and my (small) local garage tell me they get no more problems with Insignias than any other models.

Thanks for that. It's good to know that running costs are comparable with anything else. How many miles are the engines good for on average?
A lot of 2nd hand Insignias have quite a few miles on the clock due to company car use. But are usually well maintained.

Thanks, that is impressive! Are the diesels a better engine than the petrol.
Is the Elite the only trim with parking sensors? I can't find an online brochure for the 2015 facelift model.
