Dunno, if this has been asked before, but, other than spending our kids inheritance on our trusted cars.....what other hobbies are we all into.

What floats your boat other than necking the tank at the pumps .

Pics would be nice......and keep it clean incase there's any kids and snowflakes on the forum .
Think RBHs first post is very apt. Apart from keeping fish, and towing my tin tent all over the country. I'm also a member of the Melton & Oakham Waterways Society, and volunteer for fortnightly work parties. Over the years we have begged borrowed work equipment. Then a few years back, with a small grant, we were able to build/cobble together, a small "River Clearance Vessel" (Environment Agencies Definition).
Using an Ihab and stabilisers from a lorry and the biggest work boat we had. The two were married together and Mole was born and now we can clear small river/canal blockages, with ease....

Until the storms of last week !st Oct., During that storm, river levels went up at least 8 ft above normal, Mole caught on the quay, tipping up until water flowed over the gunnels and she sank. see pics almost reduced me to tears.
We have been working on a cunning plan, to re-float her, I'll tell you what it is, if it works. Got pics wrong way round, second one, Mole in full work load.
