  • White Bulb Upgrade

Hi all. This has most likely been posted before but I'm a bit disappointed with full and dip beams on my Insignia B (2018). What is a good ,whiter replacement to the original 'yellowish' output bulbs? Not looking to move to HID.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Brian,

This thread should help you https://insignia-drivers.uk/threads/...s-LED-upgrades

You need to be careful which bulbs you chose for the dipped beam because it's very easy to get it wrong and dazzle oncoming road users. In short...This is the kit I have in mine https://www.autostyling.com/lighting...headlight-kit/ and you also need these resistors so you don't get errors https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Led-Li..._GT6Q7fnj03Hxg

Main beam is a little easier and no need for the error resistors. I have these in mine https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nighteye-....c101006.m3226

Thanks for the reply. So in short, its not just a case of swapping bulbs as I had hoped? Where/how are resistors fitted? Apologies for the lack of tech knowledge.

      Cheers again

It's easier than it sounds. You take out your bulb and take the plug off the back. plug the resistor into that and then plug the Led cable into that. It all tucks inside the headlight behind the bulb.
