  • Gearbox- How Long To Notice?

    Finally changed the Gearbox oil.
What a stupid battery with all of its connections!
How long before I notice my nice slick gear changes?

Six connections to remove. Unless I did it the stupid way? The Gearbox sump and filler bolts were dead easy after I cut away some plastic undertray, which I had left on when I removed the majority for engine oil changes. Any way a nice hour on the drive in really hot Sunshine.

Well a few days in now and 250 miles and to be honest the gearchange feels worse if anything. Unless I'm thinking about it too much. I put 1.8 litres of Fully Synthetic in. Bit fed up really. Now looking at an Audi A7

No, not yet. But thanks for mentioning that. I'm going to put the correct amount of oil back in first, as thats the easiest fix. I dont want to spend any money, obviously, as its going to be sold. If i get back to where it was I'll be happy.
Looking forward to a big automatic now!
