  • Exhaust

Good evening all. I’ve tried to find any information about my problem but I couldn’t.I’ve got insignia Sri 2018, 1.5 petrol. I’ve got a leak from the exhaust pipe. Any ideas. Is it possible to be a condensation. Because it’s only when I park the car for a little while. This afternoon I’ve seen a black spot on it.

Thanks for quick answer. Hopefully, I think to ring the dealer and ask him to arrange an appointment. Just don’t want to look silly. Looks like a water. Definitely ain’t oil, petrol, brake liquid or any like that.

Thanks for answering. I’ve just been thinking with costumer service and they said that it’s normal for new cars. But I think to see the mechanic just for peace of mind.

Thanks. But I can’t see any damages. I’ve got a car for just two weeks [emoji24].

Is that photo of the back box? The box before the last section of pipe at back of car? Photo it looks like a hole, maybe I'm seeing it wrong. Take it back to where you bought it if it's a hole!

That sort of damage does not happen in just 2 weeks. It will fail mot with that. They should sort it for you.

Morning all, I’ve just took another picture. I don’t think so it’s normal that hole like they said.

I've seen that type of hole before on the underside of a silencer. As far as I know it's a drain hole for the moisture that forms inside to escape, it's only a couple of millimetres in diameter & has been there since manufacture.
