Park Assist Off

After some clarification, as a search and Google has left me unsure.

2011 Elite Tourer, if there's a system fault, should I be seeing Service Park Assist, or is Park Assist Off indicating the fault?

Just picked it up, was 100% working front and rear when I first viewed. All 8 sensors could be felt 'pulsing'. Now none pulse, via reverse or switch, just get the Park Assist Off message.

If a sensor goes down, would this system usually have a continuous beep, or would it shut down the module and give me nothing?

Going to find the module and check wiring to it tomorrow. Already tried a 30 min battery reset to no avail.

Fairly sure from my old elite it only showed park assist off when it was turned off via the dash button or in the settings.

Hmm, can they actually be disabled in the settings menu somewhere?

If i press the P button, it flashes, and i get the message on the dash. If i put it in reverse, no noise, message on dash.

So these have been intermittent today, worked first thing, then stopped again.
Had the rear bumper off earlier, everything looks intact.

Thats got me thinking, my car is the Elite spec so wondering if I have it or not! only had car 15 months so ought to spend time looking around it, hand book is waste time as its covers every option even if not fitted.
