Gearbox whine on low mileage Insignia

I tried out a 3 year old ex-motability Insignia Elite 1.6 diesel today, that’s only done 17,000 miles. Everything seemed very good, except I noticed a slight gearbox high pitched whine when accelerating up through the gears. It was ok when cruising, but wondered if the whine was an early indication of a gearbox problem or nothing to worry about? Ive tried a few Insignias and Astras and not noticed the whine on any of them.
