  • Constant alarm and theft warning

    Hello,
Long story short when I lock my car, the alarm goes off and I get theft attempt warning on my dash.

Only thing Ive had done on my car was a replacement front bumper due to a minor bump where someone backed into me.

Ive had it plugged in and there are ALOT of error codes in the memory.

Could a short to B+ on the hood contact switch cause this? Code B3006

The theft attempt warning code is B291B

I've had to remove a fuse to prevent the constant alarm going off. I still get the error but at least it's quiet!

The car is a 2.0 insignia design CDTI hatchback. 15 plate.

** I have a spare key and it happens no matter which key I use.

** I've disconnected the battery to clear the ECU

** It's not ultra sonic as I disconnected it and it still goes off. So not a bug setting off internal motion sensors

Hope someone can help, otherwise it'll be vauxhall garage prices to fix

Try a new bonnet sensor mate. I’ve heard of these causing the issues before. Once replaced no more issues

Might contact the garage that replaced the bumper. It was an insurance job to replace my bumper, so hopefully they will replace it for me.

      Worth a shot I guess

They’ve maybe left the bonnet switch disconnected accidentally [emoji106]
