my 2009 2.0 CDTI auto had 70k when i bought it last February (2019 sorry!) with no service history and ive done 30k since (long commute). Only needed new front pads, discs rear shocks and tyres (two were bad when i bought it)
Apart from owning a 1.8 Manta B back in the 90's this is my first Vx and first diesel in thirty years of driving and i am pretty pleased with it.
It was booked in for cambelt and waterpump but mechanics stranded abroad til further notice!!
stay safe stay healthy

Oh just a local garage who do MOT's and repairs - i did consider doing it myself but they quoted a very good price if i didnt mind waiting a few weeks (just before lockdown) but 2 of the mechanics are stranded abroad. Luckilly i can work from home (i am a designated keyworker) so i am going to wait but if i get bored i may consider DIY but the cost of the kits against their quote made me think "do i need the hassle of doing it?"

My 2009 2.0cdti just turned 144k and so far so good. Got a 90 mile round trip to work most days which the car gets a real world 57mpg (or it did on the last tank) at 70-80mph, mainly driving on the a1.
