  • TPMS General Question

    Hi Guys

Recently I had to replace the 245x45x18 Rear Tyres on my 2016 Siggy Design Nav, which was done by local Tyrespot
at the time and I asked if they could put on the Front to replace the part worn ones, the guy explained it
might upset the system as they are each linked to it, I thought tyre pressure sensors just reported if
tyres were under pressure or over pressure, can anybody confirm if they are axle related or
is the guy just waffling as he did not want to swap them around, opinions please ??

    He's talking utter tripe.

If the battery dies in one and you need to replace it.....you replace it for either a brand new one or 2nd hand....you then drive for a few miles at 30mph or over and the sensor kicks into life and re teaches itself.

He just didn't want to do it.

Yeah you can move your wheels around the car no problem. After a few minutes of driving the system relearns the positions.

It'll probably give you an error on your dash. I'm pretty sure it's an MOT failure if you have TPMS and it isn't working.
