Near side sill

I have damaged the sill on the nearside front from a high curb that was stuck out. Its deformed the sill taken the paint off and cracked the paint along the rubber cover.

Does anyone know the process for repairing the sill and approx cost to expect to pay?

Does a new section need welding in?

Depends how bad, usually it's cut out and new section welded in. It can also be plated. Not sure if insignia is double skinned, may be able to push out, fill paint etc.
