Auto trans issues AF40-6

Hi guys!

My auto gearbox on 2.0 CDTi 2009 Insignia shifts really strange from when I have it and I'm not really sure if it's normal. I can't really describe the issue but it's visible in a video that I found.

Besides that it sometimes kicks when shifting down on mountain roads - is it normal?

Overall are those signs the gearbox is on it's way or it's fine to drive it as I read a lot of mixed info over the internet.

You mean the little drop in revs around 2000rpm? I think mines does the same, I think it is the lock-up engaging. You could check that by release throttle just before the 2000 rpm and after. If it drops directly to idle lock-up isn’t active, if it remains about the same it was engaged.

Thanks for the info! Will definitely check it up tomorrow and see if it behaves how you describe it.

As for the downshift kicks - is that normal? It happens only every now and then not all the time.
