Boot not opening

Hi all , before I order another switch , is tgere anything else it could be that causing this issue , fuse maybe , we have had hell of a lot of rain lately and I have seen the post about water ingress same happened to my focus with a white powdery build up inside the switch but that started to play up intermittently this has just gone , I know there not expensive , just thought I would ask if you guys know of any other causes 😆

I had the same problem on my pre-facelift hatchback, bought a replacement switch on eBay and followed the video at https://youtu.be/d9WZLjMjSi4
30 minute job!

Yeah , it's the hatchback 11 plate , I was just a bit suprised it give up totally , I thought it would have starting to play up first 😆, I'll get one ordered now and get it fitted soon as , cheers for reply

Very common problem, mine actually played up first for about a month. Sometimes worked, other times not. Easy job and works perfectly now. Hope you get it sorted
