Passenger side airbag

Hi All,

Just a quick question I recently installed myself an after market satnav and all is working great but at the time I just installed the GPS receiver just above the glove compartment. Now its got me thinking will it get in the way of the airbag if its needed? Where abouts on the passenger side does the airbag deploy? does it come out about the glove compartment or higher up?

Hope some one can advise

Hello, good question , but the airbag unit is higher up and Is well protected when deployed comes out of the dashboard.so if you placed the unit just above the glovebox then you have not put it in the firing line of the bag .see below an image of the module.
