        That's a very nice astra.
I know what you mean about not being cheap to keep in the road thought.
I cannot seem to find a cheap insurance quote for my Vectra B GSI .
Classic car insurance companies don't seem to class it .or ask questions like what's my inside leg measurement.
And the normal ones like that annoying opera singer or the flipping meerkats.try to screw me.but as I'm over 50 I get good deal cos I'm a responsible citizen of good standing.

The insurance is not too bad for the type of car as it is on a limited mileage policy, however the road tax is £325 , I only tend to tax it during the summer to keep it running serviced and mot'd and a bit of fun.

That thing's a proper q-car. V nice. Must be worth a few extra mph before getting pulled over.

I don't know what year that is, but there's a cut off date in 2006 where the max road tax goes from £325 to £550. Some cars, you can get ones built either side of that date for similar prices even though one is hundreds of quid a year cheaper to run.

They are great little cars, I've kept mine standard, 336bhp must of made it quick.

Don't see many about these days, are getting rare.

Yeah it was an epic motor, had some serious money spent on it, around £16000 total. shocks, brakes internals, cams, cooling systems, front & rear strut braces, front & rear ARB's, pollybushed throughout, duplex exhaust was almost £1700 alone. Lightweight 19' alloys, K06 Hybrid turbo with switchable boost (High & Low) made 266bhp on 1 bar & then 336bhp on 2 bar, braided fuel lines, brake lines.. Ohh it was rapid.

Much prefer the Astra G GSi than the Astra H VXR, and why the hell did vx get rid of the coolant gauge from the 2005 - 2011 models on the corsa d, astra h and zafira b.
                        GSi in blue is stunning.

I would normally have it back on the road by now after winter, but not much point at the moment
