car in valot mode phoned vx up and told me to get radio code so phoned dealer up 32£ to get one but need to get radio out and check number on side of it anyone had and thing like this before its s touch screen navi 900 gen 1 thanks

Have you checked in handbook pack, sometimes code is wrote inside front cover and or small card like a credit card.

This is the card i have with hand book pack, there is also a page (pic2) which mentions going back to factory settings no idea if it will work but worth a try.

You've not said which model insignia you have, but the handbooks for most models are available online or in the thread in this forum - factory reset of personal settings may vary by model
