  • Remap: 170BHP --> 230BHP 2015 VX line

    Hi guys,

    Had a reputable company quote a stage 1 remap and said they could get my Insignia from 170 to 230.

    Anyone had a remap done and would recommend?

    Stage 1 Power: 230hp (169kW)

    Stage 1 Torque: 468Nm (345ft-lb)

    Power increase: 60hp (44kW)

    Torque increase: 68Nm (50ft-lb)

        That's also quite cheap. Increase seems high for the 170 engine, it has the lowest available increase out of all the insignias. Read reviews etc, does seem to good to be true.

          Yeah, might sound to good to be true. They've had alot of cars in for remaps over 7 or so years but cant find any 170 Insignias.

            Torque number looks right as they do better than there predecessors but the bhp is very high !

                195 BHP. 450 NM Torque is more inline with a stage 1 remap .or 25/50% increase .
                Not unless there rolling road is tweaked a bit higher.
                But if they are offering a dyno test with it and they can achieve those figures then go for it .

                    Remap is complete and car is now running 190whp..so about 220bhp?

                    Base dyno run had the car only rated at 120whp...so massive increase and serious pull now.

                    Been done for 2 weeks and had 2 long drives since with no issues.

                    Must have mod imo

                      Horse power at the wheels, is completely different to engine horse power as you lose about 30 bhp through the transmission, so if they are saying 190 wheel horse power then that is right for engine horse power + 30bhp.
