  • glowplugs with/without sensor

Car is a 2012 160 tourer Elite with 72,000 mls on the clock
Fault reader shows a fault with no 4 glow plug.

Can I replace the one glowplug or should it be all 4?

Available glowplugs for the car shows an option for plugs with or without sensor. What please is the difference and if I replace the one plug does it have to be of the same type as the others?

    Thanks,
    Dave

You can replace just one glow plug, but I would say that I think it would have to be of the same type.

ie, replace a pressure sensor with a pressure sensor and standard for standard.

    HTH.
LED interior lights. Chrome mirror caps & door handle covers. LED reverse light bulbs. Pedal box. Atomic Alloys. Steel Structure spare wheel. Boot floor risers. Rear exit exhaust & rear valance. M Y ‘15’ front grille.

One is the pencil type---straight--the sensor one is like the one in the picture--The pencil type is quite cheap--the sensor one is expensive--buy a Beru brand if you can---OEM part-----DaveClick image for larger version
