  • Water in spare wheel well

OK went to put some air in tyre and noticed water mark at side of wheel well. Removed everything to find quite a bit of water sat there. Really clean, not being there Long. Looked on forum, so many places it could be coming form. Anyone else had this and best place to start looking? Soaked all up with microfibre, will check daily.

Couldn't see where any had come in, seemed dry everywhere. You got a pic where to look

Pull the carpet walling away on driver side, and there’s a recess gap, stick your fingers in there if it’s soaking the hole i had leaking. I had sealed absolutely everything else that could have been, until finally found this. I cut the inside panel away with grinder to get to it.

As you can see I silicones the vent up too. Thinking it was this many months before. Took me over a year to find the damn leak

Apparently behind the bumper bracket there’s a hole that Vauxhall cover with a paper like sticker. That breaks down over time and degrades. Hense letting the water inside the car.

Mine was above the boot, you have to remove the trim at the top of the boot opening and the two plastic panels were both lose, re siliconed them in and been ok since

Just had a quick look, hardly any rain today as yet. Does look like it's coming from under wheel arches, so guess that points to vents and bumber bracket. Will try to look tomorrow. If not it can go in under warranty, just a faf about.

Just a little follow up. Stripped boot out found nothing. Twenty minutes of hosepipe everywhere and nothing.
So rinsed, snow foam, rinse, wash, rinse.
Found some standing water around vent thing drivers side. Managed to pop it out and fit some rubber seal strip. Fitted back nice and tight. Will see. Next will be sealant around the whole vent.

The two holes that were mentioned before are probably guaranteed to be the issue, one is behind the fuse box in the rear on the nearside, nice and easy to get too. The other is on the off side and is as mentioned before a bit of a pain to get too. I found by popping the bumper off on the offside....a few torque screws and a mighty...tug, the bumper will come away. you will see a plastic clip that holds the bumper on...on that plastic clip there is a round covered plastic part of it and you can see the poxy sticker Vauxhall has used to seal the hole in the body... behind said clip. Drill through that plastic in the right place with a cone or step drill and then fill the hole with a sealant of your choice.
